in the Riviera Maya
You two don’t need the big, fancy celebration to prove your love to one another or to anyone else. As we strip away the performance of getting married, it comes down to the importance of tying your souls and hearts together for all time. This is an intimate moment and a memory that we are honored to share and capture.
Location
Endless opportunities exist for an elopement venue to say “I Do!” but they all boil down to two categories: The first is your resort. For this option, please be familiar with their outside vendor policy, as most have a fee. Otherwise, you can go off-the-resort to a beach club, private villa, or just a quiet little circle in the sand. For expert advice, suggestions, or great venue ideas, please just ask us!
What to wear
Keep in mind that most days in the tropics are hot and sticky. You will feel most comfortable wearing lightweight, natural fibers. Your colors should complement each other and also your chosen location. Please avoid wearing any busy patterns or stripes if possible, and avoid wearing colors that show sweat. And guys, tuck a small towel or hanky in your pocket.
What to expect
An elopement session is typically between one to two hours, allowing for a 15-minute wedding ceremony and plenty of time for Newlywed photos. This should be scheduled when the beaches are quiet, the light is buttery and the heat is manageable. Most couples envision a romantic sunset, but we actually prefer mornings as the ideal time in the Riviera Maya.
