Vow Renewals Photography
in the Riviera Maya
Renewing your wedding vows can often be more power-packed with emotion than your actual wedding day! After years of riding life’s rollercoaster through the ups and downs, and maybe children between you now, to say that “I Still Choose You” is sacred, significant, and special. This will be an intimate moment and is a memory that we would be honored to share and capture.
Endless opportunities exist here for a vow renewal venue to say “I Do…again”, but they all boil down to two categories: The first is your resort. For this option, please be aware of their outside vendor policy, as most have a fee. Otherwise, you can go off-the-resort to a beach club, private villa, yacht or just a quiet little circle in the sand. For expert advice or great venue ideas, please just ask us!
What to wear
Keep in mind that most days in the tropics are hot and sticky. You will feel most comfortable wearing lightweight, natural fibers. Your colors should complement each other and also your chosen location. Please avoid wearing any busy patterns or stripes if possible, and avoid clothes that show sweat. And gentlemen, please tuck a small towel or hanky in your pocket.
What to expect
A vow renewal session is typically one to two hours. This allows for a 15-minute ceremony, followed by any family and guest photos you want, and of course your Couples’ Session. This should be scheduled when the beaches are quiet, the light is buttery and the heat is manageable. Most couples envision a romantic sunset, but we prefer mornings as the ideal time in the Riviera Maya.
