Becky & Dustin eloped on the tropical island of Holbox, Mexico! This bride and groom had their intimate destination wedding elopement on the beach at Casa las Tortugas.
Here are the details of their Holbox island elopement –
Why Choose Elopement?
The bride and groom had both been married before and did not want to deal with the hassle of a wedding again. This time around they wanted to be alone, and have the celebration be truly just their moment – not about anyone else.
They even left their three boys behind so they could focus on themselves.
The Bride and Groom
Becky and Dustin met through their work in the pharmaceutical industry. She made the first move and asked him out for a beer. Their first date was dinner and drinks where they talked for five hours straight, and have been together ever since.
The Wedding Day Details
Becky spent her morning getting ready at Barel Studio. We were all getting a little nervous about the weather as a huge storm was predicted to arrive in the late afternoon. The wind and high tide had already taken away a large amount of the beach!
However, this is one of the many benefits to an elopement – flexibility.
We moved up the time of their ceremony, and thanks to the generosity of Casa las Tortugas we used the beach and bohemian backdrop of the stunning property for their ceremony and many wedding photos.
I officiated their symbolic wedding ceremony, and we brought the stunning Boho Chic bouquet by Pentaflor Event & Flower Design over from the mainland.
There were tears. There was laughter. And they both said “I Do!”.
Becky and Dustin, thank you so much for choosing us to share your wedding adventure! It was a true pleasure getting to know you. We wish you a life full of happiness in this next chapter together as husband and wife. Congratulations!
