Natalie and Matt are Fun In the Sun Weddings’ newest newlyweds! This bride and groom are proof that sometimes a storm produces a rainbow.
Here is their story…
How They Met
Natalie & Matt met on a flight to Austin. They were both on delayed flights, and they both arrived at their plane late. But what could have been a miserable travel day became a memorable one instead. They got to chatting and realized they had a ton in common. After waiting for their checked luggage, they noticed that they had parked a few stalls apart. Thankfully, he asked for her number before they parted ways.
How They Got Engaged
Natalie & Matt got engaged in Tulum! She knew a proposal was coming because they had picked out a ring but did not know when or where. Matt popped the question when they were both super relaxed after a massage. Then they went for margaritas!
The Beach Wedding Dress
Natalie had pictured the perfect beach wedding dress as simple and elegant. What she came out of the store with instead was a giant princess-style gown! Not what she pictured, but she loved it and decided to rock it. And then she changed into a lighter wedding dress for her reception so she could dance the night away.
The Wedding Details
Natalie spent a lot of time perusing our Instagram page, and in doing so, found her wedding planner Kristee of Fresa Weddings, who brought Team Fresa together once again to make magic at the Ak’iin Beach Club in Tulum.
Beso Brides were the glam squad, transforming Natalie into a princess. Vanessa Jaimes Wow-ed us once again with her stunning floral creations. And DJ Diego of Evolution Mix Audiovisuals had them rocking the night away!
Many people who were even hesitant to come to Mexico wound up having a great time and telling them it was ‘one of the best weddings they’d ever been to’ or ‘this was even better than my own wedding!’
Their Favorite Wedding Day Moment
The bride and groom loved saying their vows to each other on the beach most of all…that and eating the delicious dinner together at the sweetheart table.

Have a margarita. Enjoy the day. Feel free to surprise people, not everyone needs to know every detail so let your guests enjoy the surprises along the way too!
